Privacy

This site has no accounts, no sign-up form and no newsletter. Here is, exhaustively, what it knows about you.

What the server records

When you search for a city, the name you type does not leave our server: it is compared with a list of cities we keep here, taken from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0 licence). No request is sent to anyone. We do, however, count how many times each city has been searched for, so as to know which ones to add to the menu: a name and a number, without your address, without a cookie, and without anything that would make it possible to tell two visitors apart or to link two searches to each other.

For each city on our list whose weather is viewed, we also note the last day it was viewed, so that its forecast stays ready for seven days: a city name and a date, without your address, without cookies, and with nothing that could tell two visitors apart.

If you choose “My location”, your browser first asks for your permission. The coordinates are then rounded to the nearest kilometre before leaving your device, and sent to our server, which calculates the forecast itself and queries Nominatim (the place name) without your address. They are neither recorded nor kept.

What your browser keeps

The site keeps in your browser (“local storage”, not a cookie) the display theme, the chosen language, the city chosen in the menu, the list of cities you found by searching (twelve at most, which you can remove one by one), and whether you chose to follow your location. These settings never leave your device, are not read by the server, and are erased with your browser's site data. They are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, which is why no consent is requested.

Third parties

Advertising

This site shows no advertising at the moment, and therefore sets no advertising cookie. If it ever does, this page will say so, and a banner will ask for your consent before anything is set.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of data about you (articles 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to the publisher contact@rapidall.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
